While this is just anecdotal evidence it is spurring new interest in the use of GLP-1 medications for conditions other than diabetes and obesity. Recent clinical trials have shown that GLP-1 medications might have broader applications beyond these traditional uses. From treating depression to offering neuroprotective effects in neurodegenerative diseases, GLP-1 is being studied for its potential benefits in various conditions.
